Apidura Website Redesign Project
Redesign of the existing website of Apidura to provide customer with a greater user experience was the main objective. The website was 5 years old, the out of date design was constraining and lacked inspirational images. The back end was built on an older version of Wordpress that was proving difficult to manage. This was hampering the brand’s growth potential, the speed at which we could launch new features, and the ability to best serve our global customer base.

Digital Strategy
One of the main challenges of the project was to provide an e-commerce and content focus website. Apidura's goal is centered on building a community, helping bikepackers discover the world, as much as they are on selling quality products. A research and concept phase of brainstorming and understanding what would represents the brand the best set the course at the beginning of this project. A general idea of the functionalities and design we wanted for Apidura resulted from this first phase.

Performance and Optimisation
The scope of the project included the review of the latest technologies, to make sure the website will perform the best in terms of speed, image loading and SEO. Intensive time was devoted to making sure we develop a high-end website to deliver the best user experience to the customers.

Interactions and Workflow
A flexible approach based on the Agile methodology was used to manage this project, working from a wireframe of a page to a design. Once the design was signed off it was handed over to the development team. From there each design was reviewed and assessed with the developers to ensure all requirements were recorded and worked on.
The previous site, was very limited in images. The project included an intensive search and selection of new images that would translate Apidura's brand image throughout the new website. The products and category pages copy was also fully reviewed to follow the same line.
The website launched successfully early September 2018.
